The new online tool was created as a free public service by Apex Town Council member Terry Mahaffey.\r\n\r\n\u201cWe thank Terry for making this useful tool available to the public,\u201d said Bob Phillips, Executive Director of the nonpartisan voting rights group Common Cause North Carolina, which has been raising awareness about Griffin\u2019s outrageous ploy. \u201cWe encourage media outlets to promote this search tool as a way to help people find out if they\u2019re among the thousands of North Carolina voters being unjustly challenged by Jefferson Griffin.\u201d\r\n\r\nGriffin is asking the NC Supreme Court to do the unthinkable: throw away the lawful ballots of 60,000 North Carolinians and overturn a settled election.\r\n\r\n\u201cGriffin is trying to change the rules of the election after the fact and defy the will of voters, all in a desperate attempt to give himself a seat on our state\u2019s highest court. That\u2019s disgusting,\u201d Phillips said. \u201cWhat\u2019s more, many of the 60,000 people being challenged by Griffin may have no idea their ballot is under threat.\u201d\r\n\r\nTo promote awareness of Griffin\u2019s scheme, Common Cause North Carolina is conducting a statewide public service campaign that includes lifting up the voices of affected voters.\r\n\r\n
