County commissions across North Carolina will hold public hearings in the coming weeks to discuss their county budgets for the new fiscal year. The funding they provide for County Boards of Elections will have a significant impact on voters' experiences in this year's general elections.\r\n\r\nEarly voting is the most popular way to vote in North Carolina and for good reason. Voters can vote at any early voting site in their county and can register and vote on the same day (you can't register and vote on Election Day in NC). This makes early voting particularly important for college students.
