Thanks to Bob Phillips for 25 years of amazing leadership of Common Cause North Carolina
After 25 years of outstanding leadership, our Bob Phillips retired this month from Common Cause North Carolina. For over two decades, Bob led our North Carolina team as a champion of voter empowerment and government accountability, steadfastly working to build a democracy for all.
To thank Bob for his years of amazing leadership and to wish him a bon voyage for what’s next, we held a surprise retirement party with family, friends, and our Common Cause NC team. At the event, Bob was presented with the prestigious Order of the Long Leaf Pine, bestowed by the Governor for Bob’s extraordinary service to North Carolina.
We also launched a special new scholarship fund in Bob’s honor for students participating in our HBCU Student Action Alliance, a wonderful program Bob created 20 years ago.
We thank Bob for everything he’s done for our state and we’re grateful he’ll continue to be part of our Common Cause North Carolina family!
Stay tuned for exciting news about who will succeed Bob as leader of Common Cause North Carolina!
