2026 Early Voting Advocacy

County boards of elections approve early voting locations and hours for their county’s elections. Where county boards of elections don’t come to a unanimous agreement on an early voting plan, the State Board of Elections has the final say.
Starting this summer, county boards of elections will consider early voting plans for the fall general election. Stay tuned for information on how you can advocate for robust early voting access in your county for the general election.
Speak out in favor of early voting access that works for voters in your county, including:
- Expanding/maintaining weekend options, including Saturday and Sunday voting
- Locations near public transit
- Locations on or in close proximity to colleges and universities
- Sites serving traditionally marginalized communities
