NC House Bill 237 would make it harder for people, including those with medical conditions, to wear masks in public to protect their health, potentially subjecting them to harassment.

But the same bill would make it much easier for wealthy donors to mask their identities when pouring money into political parties, and from there into candidates’ campaign bank accounts – creating a sort of “legalized political money laundering scheme.”
