Cesar Marquez is a Senior Organizer at Common Cause with extensive experience in grassroots organizing, electoral reform, and campaign strategy. He has worked on efforts to advance open primaries and ranked-choice voting in multiple states, including leading ballot measure campaigns and building broad-based coalitions.

Cesar previously served as National Organizer at Open Primaries and Deputy State Director at RISE Nevada. Trained as an industrial engineer at Purdue University, he brings a systems-thinking approach to movement building, shaped by his background in manufacturing and operations.

Now based in New Mexico, Cesar enjoys hiking, being in nature, traveling, and experimenting in the kitchen—especially with local chiles.
