Die Abstimmung erfolgte trotz Forderungen nach einer Reform, Kundgebungen und monatelanger \u00f6ffentlicher Stellungnahmen.\u00a0<\/span>\u201c<\/span>Rangfolgenwahl ABQ<\/span>\u201d<\/span>\u00a0Koalition, die 12 verschiedene Gemeinschaftsorganisationen vertritt<\/span>,<\/span>\u00a0unter der F\u00fchrung von Common Cause New Mexico.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>\r\n\r\nDie Ablehnung des Antrags bedeutet, dass Albuquerque weiterhin an ein veraltetes und teures Stichwahlsystem gebunden bleibt, das die Steuerzahler durchschnittlich \u00fcber eine Million Dollar pro Wahlzyklus kostet und zu einer miserablen Wahlbeteiligung f\u00fchrt. W\u00e4hrend andere gro\u00dfe St\u00e4dte in New Mexico wie Santa Fe und Las Cruces das Pr\u00e4ferenzwahlsystem erfolgreich eingef\u00fchrt haben, um Kosten zu sparen und die Repr\u00e4sentation zu verbessern, hat sich die F\u00fchrung von Albuquerque f\u00fcr den Erhalt des Status quo entschieden.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>\r\n
