MEDIA ADVISORY: Community Groups to Host Town Hall in Mankato
Common Cause Minnesota and local partners will host a community town hall featuring local elected officials this Saturday, March 29. The event, open to the media and community members, is in response to the organization’s call to action for state legislators to host community events after partisan gridlock delayed legislative action for weeks earlier this year.
The event is co-hosted by Greater Mankato Diversity Council, The Arc Minnesota, Mankato Islamic Center, COPAL (Comunidades Organizando el Poder y La acción Latina/ Communities Organizing for Latino Power and Action), and Minnesota State University.
The following elected officials have confirmed attendance: Rep. Luke Frederick (18B), Rep. Bjorn Olson (22A), Rep. Paul Torkelson (15B), Sen. Rich Draheim (22).
