2025 Senate Elections Committee
January 30th, 2025
In this hearing legislators will discuss:
- S.F. 600 (Koran) Temporary polling locations publication requirement provision
- S.F. 634 (Bahr) Local elections in cities of the first class date modification authorization
February 6th, 2025
In this hearing legislators will discuss:
- S.F. 529 (Dibble) Constitutional amendment providing for free, fair, and equal elections
- S.F. 569 (Marty) A resolution memorializing Congress to overturn the United States Supreme Court Citizens United v. FEC; requesting that Congress clarify that the rights are protected under the Constitution are the rights of natural persons and not the rights of artificial entities and that spending money to influence elections is not speech under the First Amendment; asking that Congress propose a constitutional amendment to provide such a clarification
February 11th, 2025
In this hearing legislators will discuss:
- S.F. 828 (Boldon) Working group on local campaign finance reporting establishment and appropriation
- S.F. 863 (Putnam) Political activity reprisals prohibition clarification provision Prohibition on being fired for running for office
- S.F. 569 (Marty) A resolution memorializing Congress to overturn the United States Supreme Court Citizens United v.
