<\/span>\u201c<\/span>Today\u2019s Senate passage of the Michigan Voting Rights Act is an important first step<\/span> to protecting the ballot for all eligible voters. <\/span>This legislation will ensure that even as <\/span>federal protections <\/span>are <\/span>eroded<\/span>,<\/span> no Michigander can be<\/span> discriminated against at the ballot box<\/span>. As we highlight National Voter Registration Day, World Democracy <\/span>Day<\/span>,<\/span> and Constitution Day this week, this feels like <\/span>an appropriate approach<\/span> to securing our voting rights<\/span>,<\/span> \u201d<\/span> said <\/span><\/span>Quentin Turner<\/span>,<\/span> Executive Director<\/span> for <\/span>Common Cause Michigan. <\/span><\/span><\/strong>\u00a0<\/span>
