Michigan’s 103rd legislative session is underway. It’s a new chapter for our state, and with it comes both new opportunities and challenges for our democracy.

We know there’s a lot of uncertainty ahead—for our country, our rights, and our future. But one thing is clear: we need to be ready to push back against threats to democracy and work toward a more fair, inclusive future for everyone.

That means doubling down on building an equitable democracy here in Michigan and standing with our allies to defend vulnerable communities. Whether it’s immigrants, women, LGBTQ people, or anyone else who makes up the multi-racial, 21st-century society we believe in.

At Common Cause Michigan, we’re ready to fight for what matters to you—protecting voting rights, strengthening campaign finance laws, and making sure our democracy works for all of us. We’ll also keep standing firm against any attempts to undo the progress we’ve already made.
