In January 2022, Common Cause MD joined NAACP Baltimore County and partners as a plaintiff challenging Baltimore County\u2019s unlawful redistricting plan.<\/a><\/p>\r\nIn February 2022, Federal Judge Lydia Kay Griggsby granted a preliminary injunction<\/a> blocking implementation of the County\u2019s plan and ordering them to submit a new map that complies with the Voting Rights Act by March 2, 2022.\r\n\r\nIn March 2022, Judge Lydia Kay Griggsby entered an unfortunate ruling<\/a> in NAACP v.
