Common Cause Illinois (CCIL) seeks a Member and Community Engagement Intern. This is an exciting opportunity on the front lines of democracy to learn about and assist with community and member engagement. It will include organizing events and educational opportunities, working with partner organizations in coalition space to achieve a common goal, and developing innovative ways to expand the reach of the organization. This is a chance to learn and grow at a non-partisan grassroots organization dedicated to upholding the core values of American democracy.

- Engaging CCIL membership to grow volunteer capacity
- Assist in voter education and combating mis and disinformation
- Planning/hosting engagement events (mainly phone banks, webinars)
- Assist in building CCIL social media presence
- Support in drafting content for literature and website
- Create voting rights and information resources

This is an exciting opportunity on the front lines of democracy to learn how to effectively communicate our nonpartisan mission and commitment to democracy to a diverse audience. It will include writing and pitching op-eds and blog posts, developing a social media strategy, and seeking innovative outlets to expand our audience. This is a chance to learn and grow at a non-partisan grassroots organization dedicated to upholding the core values of American democracy.

- Create a communications plan that can be executed by the CCIL team
