Southern Coalition for Social Justice and Hogan Lovells are representing the plaintiffs in the case, including Common Cause.\r\n\r\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.commoncause.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/06\/2023.12.19_NC-NAACP-v-Berger_Complaint-Redistricting-2023.pdf\">The complaint<\/a>, filed December 2023, alleges various harms in North Carolina\u2019s legislative and congressional maps:\r\n<ul>\r\n \t<li>Unconstitutional intentional discrimination against Black voters in state legislative and congressional maps;<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Vote dilution in violation of the Voting Rights Act in North Carolina\u2019s Black Belt in legislative maps;<\/li>\r\n \t<li>1, 5, 6, 10\ubc88 \uc758\ud68c \uc120\uac70\uad6c\uc5d0\uc11c \ud751\uc778 \uc720\uad8c\uc790\ub4e4\uc758 \ud22c\ud45c\uad8c\uc744 \uc758\ub3c4\uc801\uc73c\ub85c \uc57d\ud654\uc2dc\ucf30\uc2b5\ub2c8\ub2e4.<\/li>\r\n \t<li>\uc0c1\uc6d0 7\uad6c\uc640 8\uad6c\uc758 \uc778\uc885\uc801 \uc120\uac70\uad6c \uc870\uc791;<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Violation of one-person, one-vote in legislative maps.<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n2024\ub144 3\uc6d4, 3\uc778\uc758 \ud310\uc0ac\ub85c \uad6c\uc131\ub41c \ud328\ub110\uc774 \ud1b5\ud569\ub418\uc5c8\uc2b5\ub2c8\ub2e4. <i>NC NAACP \ub300 \ubc84\uac70 <\/i>\uc758\ud68c \uc9c0\ub3c4 \ub3c4\uc804\uacfc \ud568\uaed8 <i>\uc70c\ub9ac\uc5c4\uc2a4 \ub300 \ud640<\/i>.\r\n\r\n<strong>The trial in this case began the week of June 16, 2025 and concluded on July 9, 2025 at the federal court in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.
