The amendment was a surprise to lawmakers and advocates,\u00a0so\u00a0the public\u00a0was\u00a0given\u00a0no opportunity to weigh in.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>\r\n\r\nThe\u00a0<\/span>coalition sent a letter<\/span><\/a>\u00a0to President Pro Tem Rodric\u00a0Bray this morning\u00a0calling\u00a0for the bill to be withdrawn.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>\r\n\r\n\u201c<\/span>Early voting is extremely popular across our state and in many counties,<\/span>\u201d\u00a0t<\/span>he letter, signed by more than 10 organizations,\u00a0states<\/span><\/b>.\u00a0\u201c<\/span>Please use your position as the leader of the Indiana Senate to stop\u00a0the advancement of a\u00a0bill that\u00a0could\u00a0create real hardships for Indiana voters and election administrators.\u201d<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>\r\n\r\nThe letter is signed by Common Cause Indiana,\u00a0<\/span>AAUW Indiana, ACLU Indiana, Citizens Action Coalition, Concerned Clergy Indianapolis, Count Us IN, Hoosier Asian American Power, Indiana Alliance of Retired Americans,\u00a0Indiana Friends Committee on Legislation,\u00a0Indiana Voices, League\u00a0of Women Voters of Indiana, and\u00a0MADVoters.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>\r\n\r\n "}},{"acf_fc_layout":"layout_add_component","_acfe_flexible_toggle":null,"component_add_component":null},{"acf_fc_layout":"layout_work","_acfe_flexible_toggle":null,"component_work":{"heading":"Work","manually_curate":false,"work":null}}]},"yoast_head":"\nDrop the Bill: Voting Advocates Push Back on Attack on Ballot Access -
