State Leaders Must Hear the People – No Mid-Decade Gerrymandering
Common Cause Indiana and allies will hand deliver petitions from Hoosiers telling state legislative leaders to abandon mid-decade gerrymandering in Indiana.
Final petition numbers are subject to change from this release, but as of Tuesday morning, more than 4,000 Hoosiers are calling on legislators to protect current voting maps. Signatures were gathered over just a few days.
“Hoosiers are crystal clear —no mid-decade gerrymandering, no partisan power grabs,” said Julia Vaughn, executive director of Common Cause Indiana. “It’s time for legislative leaders to listen to the people they represent, not just party insiders. We will continue to uplift the voice of Hoosiers who don’t want mid-decade gerrymandering.”
