As we see the wealthy and well-connected try to influence our politics and our very livelihoods, we must demand our leaders deliver on the people\u2019s pro-democracy agenda.\u201d\u00a0\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>\r\n\r\nSince 2016, Common Cause has tracked support and co-sponsorship of key democracy reform legislation. This year\u2019s scorecard includes ten bills and votes in the U.S. Senate and 13 in U.S. House, including the <\/span>Freedom to Vote Act<\/span><\/a>, <\/span>John R. Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act<\/span><\/a>, <\/span>Supreme Court Ethics, Recusal, and Transparency Act<\/span><\/a>, and more.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>\r\n\r\n\u201cThe 2024 Democracy Scorecard empowers voters with information to hold their leaders in Washington accountable for a government that works for all,\u201d said <\/span>Julia Vaughn, Executive Director of Common Cause Indiana<\/span><\/b>. \u201cThree of Indiana\u2019s members of Congress earned a zero on this year\u2019s scorecard, including both of our U.S. Senators. This shows that Hoosiers can\u2019t depend on\u00a0them to repair the frayed fabric of our democracy.
