The ALL IN for Democracy coalition will host a press conference to reveal new polling and focus group data explaining why young adult Hoosiers do not vote and what policymakers can do to fix the problem. 

ReCenter Indiana and Count Us Indiana collected the data by surveying and conducting focus groups with Hoosiers under age 35. Leaders of the ALL IN for Democracy coalition will discuss the public policy changes Indiana must adopt to address the challenges all voters — especially young voters — face. 

“This latest data will confirm what we already know: legislators have made it harder for certain Hoosiers to vote, adding new barriers and red tape,” said Julia Vaughn, Common Cause Indiana Executive Director. “Once Hoosiers see the data, we expect legislators to act to ensure their constituents are heard by increasing voter participation.”
