View story here.\u00a0<\/a><\/em><\/strong>\r\n\r\nHONOLULU (Island News) -- Dozens of people rallied outside Honolulu Hale and the Hawaii State Library on Thursday to show that \"Good Trouble Lives On.\"\r\n\r\n[video width=\"854\" height=\"480\" mp4=\"https:\/\/www.commoncause.org\/hawaii\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/8dd3e4a0-783f-4772-bfc1-d3a911c68d37_20250815180935.8983290.mp4\"][\/video]\r\n\r\nMany held signs that said \"Power to the People\" in protest against the Trump Administration on July 17, 2025. The event was held in honor of the late U.S. Representative John Lewis. He lived by the motto of making \"Good Trouble,\" which means protesting peacefully and without violence.\r\n\r\nLewis fought to protect civil and human rights and the work of Hawaii's U.S. Representative Patsy Mink.\r\n\r\nThe program director of Common Cause Hawaii got to meet Lewis and shared that the legacy of the late lawmaker lives on:\r\n\r\nCameron Hurt\/Program Director, Common Cause Hawaii: \"Lewis told us, \u201cAlways get into good trouble,\u201d and we remember that part but I think the part we forget is the part he says next: \u2018Necessary trouble.
