Referring to a court victory requiring removal of the word &ldquo;independent&rdquo; from the official ballot description of the proposed commission, Executive Director Susan Lerner stated the following in the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.democratandchronicle.com\/story\/news\/local\/2014\/10\/08\/report-redistricting-broken-current-ny-system\/16947021\/\">Rochester Democrat &amp; Chronicle<\/a> et le <a href=\"http:\/\/blog.timesunion.com\/capitol\/archives\/222097\/citizens-union-report-shows-toll-of-gerrymandering\/\">Albany Times Union<\/a>: &ldquo;Spin it any way you like, but after the judge&rsquo;s ruling, it&rsquo;s impossible to claim that Proposition 1 would &lsquo;unrig&rsquo; the system.
