Our votes are how we decide the future pour our families, our communities, and our country. Mais too often, politicians pass unfair voting rules that drown out the voices of everyday people or rig legislative maps so we don’t get a real choice. That’s why Cause commune protects your voice at the ballot box, dans Congress, dans state legislatures, in le courtm, and beyond. Nous have passed hundreds of commonsense solutions that give every American a say in our futureincluding vote-by-mail, online voter registration, early voting, and independent redistricting – and blocked voter suppression policies like strict voter ID and purges of registered voters.

House Passes Modern Day Poll Tax in SAVE Act

Today, the U.S. House of Representatives passed the SAVE Act (HR 22), legislation that will make it significantly harder and more expensive for tens of millions of American to vote in elections. Under the proposed legislation, every American would have to provide in-person proof of citizenship to register to vote and update their voter registration. Additionally, the SAVE Act would make it impossible for Americans to register to vote by mail, end to voter registration drives, and end online voter registration for the 42 states.
