Our government spends about the same on parking lots as it does elections. [1]

You read that right. Our elections rank near the bottom in public spending, starving our democracy at the expense of voters like us.

Right now, Congress can fix this and provide the funds that state and local officials – Democrats and Republicans alike – agree are urgently needed. They just need to act.

Election funding has long enjoyed bipartisan – but inconsistent – support in Congress. Our elections officials are pleading for increased and consistent funding, and it’s on all of us to speak out and help.

Tell your members of Congress: Fully fund our elections like democracy depends on it – because it does.
