Aujourd'hui, la Chambre des représentants des États-Unis a adopté la loi SAVE (HR 22), une loi qui rendra le vote aux élections considérablement plus difficile et plus coûteux pour des dizaines de millions d'Américains. En vertu de cette loi, chaque Américain devrait fournir une preuve de citoyenneté en personne pour s'inscrire sur les listes électorales et mettre à jour son inscription.
