Mediante enmiendas impulsadas por la ciudadan\u00eda, los votantes han aumentado el salario m\u00ednimo, exigido transparencia a nuestro gobierno, instituido la educaci\u00f3n preescolar voluntaria universal y clases con menor aforo, y protegido nuestros recursos ambientales.<\/span>\r\n\r\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Seamos claros tambi\u00e9n: actualmente, el proceso para incluir una enmienda en la boleta electoral en Florida ya es uno de los m\u00e1s estrictos del pa\u00eds: requiere casi un mill\u00f3n de firmas para incluirla y el apoyo del 60% de los votantes para aprobarla.<\/span>\r\n\r\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Para ilustrar lo dif\u00edcil que es obtener el apoyo a la ley 60%, la constituci\u00f3n original de Florida, que fue aprobada por el pueblo de nuestro estado en 1868, \u00a1solo recibi\u00f3 el 59.95% de los votos!<\/span>\r\n\r\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Pero ahora, los pol\u00edticos y los intereses especiales adinerados est\u00e1n tratando de reescribir las reglas para mantener a\u00fan m\u00e1s el poder en sus manos en lugar de permitir que la gente tenga voz y voto.<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\r\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\r\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">El gobernador Ron DeSantis y los legisladores de Tallahassee han presentado este a\u00f1o diversas propuestas que limitan dr\u00e1sticamente las enmiendas ciudadanas, lo que atenta contra nuestra capacidad de participar en la democracia. Y est\u00e1n acelerando el proceso legislativo para aprobar estas propuestas.<\/span>\r\n\r\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Eso est\u00e1 mal para Florida y es un s\u00edntoma de un liderazgo que est\u00e1 m\u00e1s interesado en sus propias ambiciones pol\u00edticas que en escuchar a la gente a la que fueron elegidos para servir.\u00a0<\/span>\r\n\r\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Deber\u00edamos empoderar a la gente para que tenga m\u00e1s voz, no ponerle m\u00e1s restricciones.\u00a0<\/span>\r\n\r\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">La belleza de nuestro proceso de enmiendas es que no tenemos que estar de acuerdo en todas las enmiendas.\u00a0<\/span>\r\n\r\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Ciertamente he votado en contra de numerosas enmiendas y tambi\u00e9n he apoyado muchas de ellas. Pero mi voz se escuch\u00f3 directamente en estos temas, al igual que la de mis vecinos.
