A new poll from Emerson College proves mid-decade redistricting is still unpopular with Floridians, with a clear majority saying it’s a “bad idea.”
A new poll from Emerson College proves mid-decade redistricting is still unpopular with Floridians, with a clear majority saying it’s a “bad idea.”
These results are similar to what Common Cause found in a September 2025 poll of Floridians.
“Floridians reject the legislature undertaking mid-decade redistricting today just as much as they did six months ago,” said Amy Keith, Common Cause’s Florida Executive Director. “The message to the legislature is clear: if you go through with mid-decade redistricting, you are going against the will of Florida voters, especially independents.”
