During the 2013-2014 legislative session, Common Cause helped unite pro-reform legislators behind <a href=\"http:\/\/postlink.www.listbox.com\/1747232\/3140c0ca8eb11a27c39941bd4b7cb181\/21699091\/13d1b582?uri=aHR0cHM6Ly9kb2NzLmxlZ2lzLndpc2NvbnNpbi5nb3YvMjAxMy9yZWxhdGVkL3Byb3Bvc2Fscy9hYjE4NQ\" target=\"_blank\">Assembly Bill 185<\/a> y <a href=\"https:\/\/docs.legis.wisconsin.gov\/2013\/related\/proposals\/sb163\/1\" target=\"_blank\">Senate Bill 163<\/a>, identical bills modeled after Iowa&rsquo;s redistricting process.<\/p><p>The Iowa model, launched 34 years ago, delegates the boundary-drawing to a non-partisan state entity that does not consider party politics. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.commoncausewisconsin.org\/p\/do-your-state-legislat.html\">A list of legislators who support this effort is available here.<\/a>&nbsp;<\/p><p>This reform plan has been endorsed by 19 Wisconsin daily newspapers. Thousands of citizens also have expressed their support through letters to the editor, direct communications to legislators, and by attending one of six &ldquo;reform forums&rdquo; Common Cause Wisconsin organized throughout the state.
