CBS has blocked Stephen Colbert from airing an interview with U.S. Senate candidate James Talarico – and ordered Colbert not to even mention the censorship on the air. [1]

Why? Because Trump’s handpicked FCC Chairman, Brendan Carr, publicly threatened to crack down on talk shows that host political candidates. [2]  

The Trump administration is blatantly rewriting the rules to force their narrative. And instead of pushing back, CBS is censoring its own programming to stay on their good side.  

This is just their latest capitulation to Trump and the far-right. In the past year, they’ve:

• Handed Trump a massive, $16 million payout to settle a baseless lawsuit. [3]

• Canceled Colbert’s show after he spoke out against their capitulation to Trump. [4]

• Put Bari Weiss in a leadership role – and stood by as she started blatantly censoring 60 Minutes stories. [5]

It’s time to remind CBS: Their audience – ordinary people like you and me – are the ones who keep their lights on. And just like we did with ABC and Disney, we’ll pull our attention and our dollars if they continue their censorship campaign.
