Die Ausgaben der Mitglieder sind \u00f6ffentlich zug\u00e4nglich, aber keine Beh\u00f6rde ist f\u00fcr deren regelm\u00e4\u00dfige \u00dcberpr\u00fcfung zust\u00e4ndig.\u201c<\/p><p>\u201eEs ist schockierend, dass die Abgeordneten des Repr\u00e4sentantenhauses nicht verpflichtet sind, an Ethikschulungen teilzunehmen\u201c, f\u00fcgte er hinzu. \u201eOhne diese wird sich diese Geschichte zwangsl\u00e4ufig wiederholen und das Vertrauen in die Regierung weiter untergraben.\u201c<\/p><p>Rapoport und Rey Lopez-Calderon, Gesch\u00e4ftsf\u00fchrer von Common Cause Illinois, sagten, Schocks Sturz zeige auch die Bedeutung des Office of Congressional Ethics, eines unabh\u00e4ngigen Zweigs des Repr\u00e4sentantenhauses, der 2009 gegr\u00fcndet wurde, um Ethikbeschwerden gegen Abgeordnete zu untersuchen und dem Ethikausschuss des Repr\u00e4sentantenhauses Empfehlungen zu unterbreiten.<\/p><p>Berichten zufolge begann das OCE Anfang des Monats mit der \u00dcberpr\u00fcfung von Schocks B\u00fcrofinanzen, nachdem Berichte ver\u00f6ffentlicht worden waren, die die 1440.000 TP1T f\u00fcr die Renovierung seines Washingtoner B\u00fcros in Frage stellten. Schock griff daraufhin auf sein Privatkonto zur\u00fcck, um die Kosten zu decken.<\/p><p>Common Cause spielte eine f\u00fchrende Rolle bei der Gr\u00fcndung des OCE.
