BECOME AN ELECTION PROTECTION VOLUNTEER<\/a><\/strong><\/h4>\r\nOur nonpartisan voter protection program seeks to ensure every eligible voter who wants to vote can do so, and every vote is counted accurately. This program is not affiliated with any party, candidate, or issue campaign.<\/span>\r\n\r\nDirect volunteer intervention is the most effective way to make sure voters aren't disenfranchised by confusion over election rules, long lines, under-resourced polling places, and acts of intimidation or deception.\u00a0<\/span>\r\n

What We\u2019re Doing<\/h3>\r\nAs part of Common Cause in Connecticut\u2019s work to protect the vote in 2024, we will:\r\n
    \r\n \t
  • Train nonpartisan volunteers and send them to polling places around the state, where they will answer voters\u2019 questions and serve as a first line of defense against voter suppression tactics<\/li>\r\n \t
  • Monitor social media platforms for misleading and false content designed to confuse voters<\/li>\r\n \t
  • Promote the 866-OUR-VOTE hotline, which voters can call to address any questions or issues<\/li>\r\n \t
