Colorado Common Cause is a nonprofit, nonpartisan organization fighting for open, honest and accountable government. We believe that government should reflect the people it serves – and that we’re better off when people from all walks of life participate in self-governance. Only then can we produce equitable outcomes that mirror our diverse communities and shared values.
We believe the serious issues that confront our society – a lack of affordable health care and quality education, poverty, discrimination, and climate change – will only be solved when government is responsive to the needs and the voices of its citizens, and not to the pressures of special interests.
By partnering with groups that represent a variety of constituencies, we campaign to break down barriers to voting, ensure every vote is counted as cast, reduce the impact of special interest money in the political process, and promote open government and high ethical standards.
