Jahrestag der Organisation<sup>th<\/sup> Jubil\u00e4um und Ehrung der \u201eHelden der Demokratie\u201c<\/a> die eine entscheidende Rolle im Kampf zur St\u00e4rkung der Demokratie in Kalifornien gespielt haben. Bei der Veranstaltung werden auch die ehemaligen Mitarbeiter und Vorstandsmitglieder geehrt, die die Erfolge der Organisation in den letzten f\u00fcnf Jahrzehnten erm\u00f6glicht und den Grundstein f\u00fcr unsere n\u00e4chsten 50 Jahre gelegt haben. \u201eDiese Helden der Demokratie haben Jahrzehnte ihres Lebens der St\u00e4rkung unserer Demokratie gewidmet und dazu beigetragen, dass jeder Kalifornier bei den Entscheidungen in Washington, Sacramento und auf lokaler Ebene mitreden kann\u201c, sagte Jonathan Mehta Stein, Gesch\u00e4ftsf\u00fchrer von California Common Cause. \u201eIhre gr\u00f6\u00dften Erfolge waren nicht leicht und kamen nicht schnell, aber was sie in den ersten 50 Jahren von Common Cause erreicht haben, wird auch in den kommenden 50 Jahren Fr\u00fcchte tragen.\u201c Zu den Preistr\u00e4gern der Veranstaltung geh\u00f6ren:\r\n<ul>\r\n \t<li><strong>Helden der Politik:<\/strong><strong><em>Kathy Feng<\/em><\/strong>, daf\u00fcr, dass Sie der Architekt der Neugliederungsreform in Kalifornien sind und langj\u00e4hrige F\u00fchrungsrolle in unserem Bereich innehaben, und <strong><em>Bob Stern<\/em><\/strong>, weil er der Vater des kalifornischen Political Reform Act und der Fair Political Practices Commission ist.<\/li>\r\n \t<li><strong>Philanthropische Helden:\u00a0<em>Amy Dominguez-Arms<\/em><\/strong> Und <strong><em>Catherine Hazelton<\/em><\/strong>, weil sie als Stiftungsf\u00fchrer massiv in den Schutz und die Weiterentwicklung der Demokratie investiert haben, einschlie\u00dflich einer fairen Neugliederung der Wahlbezirke, des W\u00e4hlerschutzes und des b\u00fcrgerschaftlichen Engagements.<\/li>\r\n \t<li><strong>Wahlhelden:\u00a0<em>Neal Kelley<\/em><\/strong>, scheidender Wahlleiter f\u00fcr Orange County, und <strong><em>Gail Pellerin<\/em><\/strong>, ehemaliger Bezirksbeamter von Santa Cruz County, daf\u00fcr, dass sie f\u00fchrende Wahlbeamte im Staat und im Land sind und gezeigt haben, dass unsere Wahlen genau, sicher, transparent und zug\u00e4nglich sein k\u00f6nnen.<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\nIm Rahmen der Veranstaltung findet ein Sesselgespr\u00e4ch mit den Preistr\u00e4gern statt: <em>Was h\u00e4lt die Zukunft f\u00fcr die Demokratie in Kalifornien und im ganzen Land bereit?<\/em>\u00a0Die Diskussion wird moderiert von <strong><em>Mindy Romero<\/em><\/strong>, Gr\u00fcnderin und Leiterin des Center for Inclusive Democracy (CID) an der University of Southern California und Vorstandsvorsitzende von California Common Cause. Schauspielerin <strong><em>Helen Slater<\/em><\/strong>, die Supergirl spielte, wird die Preise \u00fcberreichen. Die Jubil\u00e4umsfeier wird von <strong><em>Lenny Mendonca<\/em><\/strong>, Senior Partner Emeritus von McKinsey &amp; Company und <strong><em>Lauren Scott<\/em><\/strong>, Leiterin f\u00fcr Sonderprojekte beim City Ballet of San Diego. Die Veranstaltung findet im historischen Ebell Club in Los Angeles statt. Aus Sicherheitsgr\u00fcnden w\u00e4hrend der Pandemie verlangt Common Cause Masken und Impfnachweise und nutzt einen Gartenbereich im Freien f\u00fcr Speisen und Getr\u00e4nke. Das Programm findet in einem Innenraum statt, der von mehreren gro\u00dfen, offenen Torb\u00f6gen umgeben ist.
