Common Cause, Stand Up America, State Innovation Exchange, and The Sentencing Project released new national polling revealing that 56% of voters believe voting should be a guaranteed right for all.

Today, Common Cause announced Jordan Davis has been named the organization’s Vice President of People, Equity, and Inclusion. Following a national search and participation from every level of the organization, Davis was unanimously selected to lead Common Cause’s work to advance equity and inclusion across its national and state offices.

Staff members of Common Cause Education Fund (“Common Cause”) announced on Friday that they have unionized with Washington-Baltimore News Guild, Local 32035. The announcement was met with the full support and welcome of the organization’s leadership team and board members.

In a letter sent to the U.S. Senate this morning, Common Cause urged senators to confirm U.S. Circuit Court Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson to the U.S. Supreme Court. Common Cause’s letter highlighted Judge Jackson’s strong commitment to justice for all and the wealth of experience she brings that led to bi-partisan support throughout her judicial career.

Today, a panel of Common Cause’s redistricting experts briefed the media on the major victories local communities are winning in their efforts to transform redistricting into a citizen-led process.
