Tell Pfizer: Just say NO to ALEC!

The American Legislative Exchange Council (ALEC) is bad for public health and bad for democracy. Pfizer should cut ties with them for good.

The American Legislative Exchange Council (ALEC) is threatening potential legal action to silence us, but we'll never back down from our work to expose their extreme agenda and corporate influence-peddling at taxpayer expense.

ALEC's radical stand on climate change is out of step with the mainstream as more and more companies accept the reality of climate science and adopt responsible environmental policies. One of those companies, Pfizer, has promised a 20% reduction in their carbon emissions by the year 2020. But they're still funding ALEC.

ALEC is probably worried that Pfizer will follow in the footsteps of Google and others who've decided that supporting ALEC doesn't match up with their vision for a sustainable future. That's why they're trying to silence us with legal threats, and that's why we can't stop speaking up.

Ever since we blew the whistle on ALEC's work to push corporate-written bills through state houses across the nation, we and our allies have been asking ALEC's funders to end their support. Since then, Coca-Cola, Google, BP -- over 100 companies in total -- have left.

ALEC could bring their positions in line with scientific consensus and stop sticking taxpayers with the bill for their lobbying. But instead, they're trying to scare us off with legal threats. Let's show them it won't work.

We can't -- and won't -- be silenced. Tell Pfizer to drop ALEC today!
