Every election season Wisconsinites are subjected to unrelenting negative campaign communications masquerading as "issue advocacy." While clearly intended to influence our vote, the groups behind these "phony" issue ads avoid telling us exactly who is paying for them.

We believe Wisconsin citizens have the right to know who is behind all of this spending.

Common Cause Wisconsin has led the effort to get a bipartisan electioneering disclosure measures introduced in the Legislature in the past -- and will continue pushing to shed light on all of the dark money flowing into Wisconsin politics.
