Tell Congress That Corporations Are Not People: Support I-1329

Since the U.S. Supreme Court’s disastrous decision in Citizens United, we’ve seen a deluge of dark money that is threatening to turn our democracy into a plutocracy—a government of, by, and for the wealthy special interests.

Common Cause is working to make Washington the next state to take a stand against Citizens United. As part of the WAmend coalition we are gathering signatures to put a question on the ballot this November that would give voters the chance to put Washington on record in favor of a constitutional amendment that would reverse Citizens United and affirm the principle that “all citizens should have equal voice in the political process.”

Will you join us in this fight? We need volunteers to help gather the necessary signatures—245,000 by June 25—to put I-1329 on the ballot.

Sign up today to join the thousands of Washingtonians who are already part of this historic effort to reclaim our democracy.
