Campaign Finance Reform

In Oregon as elsewhere, how we regulate money in politics determines the extent to which money is able to influence and corrupt our politics. Currently, Oregon has no public finance system to help fund election campaigns, so candidates must rely entirely on private donors. Moreover, Oregon is one of only a handful of states that sets no limits on campaign contributions, leaving it open for the biggest campaign contributors to drive up the cost of elections and gain exaggerated influence.

Stay tuned for opportunities to reform Oregon's campaign finance laws. And in the meantime, check out promising national reforms here.
