Putting Ethics Into Action

Putting Ethics into Action brought together staff and members of more than twenty advocacy, activist and policy organizations in New Mexico for a full day of conversations, panels and experiential workshops about institutionalizing representation, democratic decision-making, transparency and other hallmarks of ethical practice. We spent the day in workshops and plenaries sharing what we know and can learn from each other about how ethical practices strengthen the work, our communities and our organizations.

This is part of a much larger international project engaging people working in a variety of roles and professions in reflection on the meanings of responsibility and responsible action and the social utility of responsibility in the practice of their work. The larger project aims to promote reflection and collective action on responsible practices through discussion of meanings of responsibility, examples of ethical practice, barriers to ethical practice, and cultural differences.
