ALEC is a secret organization that recruits state legislators and corporate giants to advance the interests of corporate America, while refusing to disclose its membership or donors. It hosts expensive conferences in resort hotels and offers "scholarships" to legislators and their families if they are willing to pay their dues and become members.

In Nebraska, there are only 5 official legislative members, but several years ago there were 22. We've worked hard to bring ALEC and their agenda into the sunshine, and it will remain a large part of our work as long as they attempt to secretly influence the legislature.
