Common Cause Michigan

Americans deserve open, honest, accountable government.

We’re working to deliver it.

Common Cause Michigan (CCMI) is a non-profit, non-partisan, grassroots advocacy organization. CCMI serves as a vehicle to strengthen public participation and ensure that public officials and public institutions are accountable and responsive to citizens. Through a powerful combination of grassroots organizing, coalition building, policy development, research, public education, lobbying and litigation, we through a spotlight on issues that affect Michiganders at the local, statewide, and national level.

Our organization stands as an independent voice for change and a watchdog against corruption and abuse of power. We have led efforts to give ordinary voters a voice in their government, end the stranglehold of big money interests on politics, and put our democracy back into the hands of Michiganders.
