Creating a stronger democracy, and holding government officials accountable. That’s what Common Cause does. We cannot accomplish these lofty goals without the help of our friends in the community. Will you consider becoming a Common Cause Hawaii (CCHI) volunteer?
The following are different policy and outreach volunteer areas that people may take part in. Join us in supporting our common cause—a stronger democracy!

1) Legislative Policy and Accountability – Active on tracking bills, drafting and submitting testimony, and encouraging other to submit testimony during legislative session. Focused on developing and identifying legislative priorities during the interim. Help track mentions of ethics violations, reported conflicts of interest, waived hearing notices, and violations to the Legislative Rules.
1) Online and media – Draft and share Facebook posts, tweets, and blog posts relevant to Common Cause Hawaii and the democracy issues we work on. Draft and submit commentary on pressing democracy issues to local papers.
2) Events – Plan or assist with day-of logistics for Common Cause events, including but not limited to: workshops and film screenings, fundraisers, mixers, and forums.
