Common Cause Delaware (CCDE) is a nonpartisan, grassroots organization dedicated to restoring the core values of American democracy, reinventing an open, honest and accountable government capable of solving today’s challenges to the public interest, and empowering ordinary people to make their voices heard in a government that belongs to them. Since its founding in 1972, CCDE has been one of the state’s most effective watchdog groups and has played a leading role in the passage of major reforms at the state and local levels.
Common Cause is a national, nonpartisan, nonprofit advocacy organization. It achieves its goals through the hard work of a national office of staff and volunteers in Washington DC, as well as state organizations located across the nation and nearly 400,000 members and supporters. Common Cause Delaware is a state office of the national organization, and its Board focuses on promoting open, ethical, accountable government in Delaware.
