Just Vote! Colorado prepares for busy election

With Election Day just around the corner, Just Vote! Colorado Election Protection (Just Vote! Colorado) is preparing to assist thousands of voters up to and on November 8th.

Established in 2004, Just Vote! Colorado is a collaborative, non-partisan election protection program dedicated to educating and assisting Colorado voters and monitoring election procedures around the state. Colorado Common Cause runs Just Vote! Colorado in partnership with Mi Familia Vota, Disability Law Colorado, the League of Women Voters of Colorado and the Colorado Lawyers Committee.

JustVoteColorado.org is a one-stop shop for Colorado-specific voter education and information. Voters can use the website to locate their closest polling location and ballot drop off sites, find answers to frequently asked voting questions, and more. The website is available in both English and Spanish.

Just Vote! Colorado also partners with the national Election Protection coalition and the National Association of Latino Elected and Appointed Officials (NALEO) in the weeks leading up to each election. Beginning on October 17th, volunteers in the Colorado Common Cause office will answer questions from Colorado voters on the 866-OUR-VOTE hotline (866-687-8683).

On November 7th and 8th, Just Vote! will operate a 12 phone-line call center in downtown Denver. Colorado volunteers will answer both the 866-OUR-VOTE English hotline and the 888-VE-Y-VOTA Spanish hotline (888-839-8682). Voters who have questions or would like to report problems are encouraged to call either number.

Want to get involved? We need volunteers to survey Voter Service and Polling Centers in late October and early November. Contact Caroline Fry, Advocacy & Media Manager for Colorado Common Cause, at cfry@commoncause.org or (303) 292-2163 for more information.
