Congress Must Act to Fix the Citizens United Mess

The impact of the Roberts Court's misguided Citizens United ruling is clear: Outside groups have already spent more than $62 million on the 2010 elections – three times more than they'd spent at this point in the last midterm cycle.* And things could get worse if we get to the fall campaign season without any reforms in place.

Tweet This Action! Urge your Senators to support two critical pieces of legislation:
The DISCLOSE Act (which has already passed in the House), to bring more transparency to the political process and help voters understand which corporations and unions are trying to influence their vote; and

The Fair Elections Now Act, which would take big-money out of the equation by creating a voluntary system that allows congressional candidates to run competitive campaigns using a blend of unlimited small donations and limited public funding.
