Ethics Reform in Jeopardy – Act Now!

It's hard to believe – but the ethics reform Georgians anticipated in the wake of the Glenn Richardson scandal may not be realized.

After weeks of delay, House Bill 920, sponsored by Judiciary Chairman Wendell Willard with over 40 co-sponsors from both parties and all parts of Georgia, is being cast aside in favor of a substitute being crafted in the office of new House Speaker David Ralston. That bill may not contain any of the provisions of House Bill 920.

Please help us appeal directly to Speaker Ralston to put forth a strong bill that will truly change the culture at the Capitol that led to the scandal last year.

Specifically, ethics legislation must include lobbyist gift limits and limits on campaign-to-campaign contributions.

Thanks for your help!
