Dawn Holian Iype
Dawn Iype is Common Cause’s director of online strategy, overseeing the organization's e-advocacy efforts and online communications and fundraising.
She joined Common Cause in 2005 as director of media research and public education. In that role, she researched and wrote about media reform topics, including the digital television transition, media consolidation, public broadcasting, and telecommunications. In 2006, she authored the award-winning report, “Wolves in Sheep’s Clothing: Telecom Industry Front Groups and Astroturf.”
Dawn previously served as the Associate Director for Media Policy at the Campaign Legal Center, and as the Managing Director and Research Director for the Alliance for Better Campaigns. She was also a researcher and project director at the Center for Media and Public Affairs.
She has a degree in political communication from George Washington University.
