Major Endorsers Lend Support for Fair Districts from Both Sides of the Aisle

 

Some big names from Massachusetts politics past, present, and potentially the future, showed their bi-partisan support for the fair districts ballot question on October 3rd in front of the State House in Boston.  Joined by CC/MA Executive Director Pam Wilmot, the distinguished and diverse groups endorsed the campaign, took questions from the media, and then signed petitions.  Have you signed yet.  Get involved by requesting a petition to sign and/or volunteering.  Take a look at a few photos from the press conference below.

 

 

Former Governor Mike Dukakis predicts that voters will approve

Fair Districts as easily as "a knife through butter."  Left to right

Gubernatorial candidate Deval Patrick said that

under the current system, politicians are choosing

their voters instead of how democracy is supposed

to work.  Later on, Attorney General Reilly joined

his rival in supporting the petition.

 

 

Massachusetts Republican Party Director Tim O'Brien signs the

petition, drawing a round of applause.  A number of Republican and

Democratic town committees are working hard to collect

signatures locally.
