Municipal ethics reform

There are few acts of government impropriety that affect citizens more deeply than local impropriety. Whether it is broad corruption like those Connecticut citizens saw in Waterbury and Bridgeport or blatant incidents of conflict of interest, such acts undermine the public trust in local government, the one district of government that has the most direct impact on citizen's lives. Connecticut Common Cause is committed to passing broad-based municipal ethics reform that would create a model code of ethics for all Connecticut's localities to adopt.
