This statement in opposition to a national voter identification card begins, 'The undersigned organizations submit this Statement to the Commission on Federal Election Reform to express our strong opposition to a national voter identification card system. For the reasons set out below, we believe that the adoption of a national voter ID card would likely result in the disfranchisement of many eligible voters.'
