Lower Hudson Valley’s The Journal News Editorializes against New York Proposal 1

Following a discussion with Common Cause New York’s Executive Director Susan Lerner, the editorial board of The Journal News announced its opposition to Proposal 1. Common Cause opposes the proposal, which would enshrine in the Constitution of New York State a redistricting commission largely controlled by the state legislature. The editorial stated “New York voters should fight for a better plan, rather than settle for incremental crumbs.
