Dollarocracy

Dollarocracy

Let me introduce you to John Nichols, acclaimed journalist and author of Dollarocracy: How the Money and Media Election Complex is Destroying America. John is teaming up with Common Cause Massachusetts in Cambridge on March 10 at 5:30 pm to discuss the problems plaguing our democracy and to help us raise money to fix them. It’s sure to be a fun evening of inspiring conversation, good food, fine wine, and interesting company. I hope you will join me!

John is the Washington correspondent for The Nation magazine and is the associate editor of The Capital Times. He has authored numerous books including The Genius of Impeachment, and a best-selling biography of Vice President Dick Cheney, Dick: The Man Who is President. His newest book Dollarocracy reveals how “money power” does not just endanger electoral politics; it is a challenge to the DNA of American democracy itself.

The party will be held at the beautiful home of Paul and Debra Walker on Brattle Street in Cambridge at 5:30pm on Monday March 10th. Tickets are $100 per person and will benefit our educational outreach to restore and protect accountable government in Massachusetts and beyond.

Your support of this event makes a real difference in our ability to fight for solutions to our dollarocracy: unlimited money in elections, unnecessary hurdles to voting, media consolidation and all the other forces making our government less accountable and democratic. Your contribution goes directly towards fixing these problems and ensuring that our campaigns for open, honest and accountable government have the support they need to succeed.

Don’t miss this opportunity to enjoy a wonderful evening and promote an important cause. RSVP for Dolloaracy now.
